Happy New Year!

The June 7-8 2008 MTRA Show Me 200 entry is enclosed in this newsletter. If you want to ride the event you need to fill in the application and send it back to the MTRA ASAP as the event normally fills up in 3 days! We sort the entries by postmark date, not delivery date to our mailbox/PO Box.

The 2008 MTRA Membership Application is also enclosed in this Newsletter. Please check your name/address on this newsletter to see if your membership is current or if you need to renew your MTRA membership. Your MTRA membership number is on the first line of the address after your name, and the last year that your membership has been paid is in front of your name, ie, 4 John Doe 2456. (Last year paid = 2004, & member # = 2456) So if there is a 7 or less in front of your name, your membership has expired and is due for 2008. We hope you continue to support our cause and renew your membership.

Upcoming events:

Jillys

Jan 12^th MTRA Post Xmas Membership Meeting We will be having a general membership meeting at Jillys, 1630 Gravois Rd., High Ridge MO 63049. It is located on Hwy 30 (Gravois Road) about 6.5 miles SW of I-270. We will provide some food @ 6:00 PM & have a short meeting starting @ 7:00 PM. We will be signing up volunteers to work the various MTRA events and VTRA Gate Keepers for 2008.

January 12-- MTRA Post Xmas Membership Meeting

March 15-16 -- VTRA Ride Weekend

March 16 -- Woods Poker Run at VTRA. This is a new event for 2008! The event will be very similar to the Old Miners Day Woods Poker Run, $300 Cash prizes, trophies, and attendance prizes, only held at VTRA, Sign up 9-Noon, Awards at 3pm.

April 19-20 -- VTRA Ride Weekend

April 19-- St. Louis Supercross (We are not flagging the event this year!)

May 3-4 -- Show Me 200 Trail Work (Starting at VTRA)

May 17-18 -- VTRA Ride Weekend, Show Me 200 Pre Ride (Workers Only)

June 7-8 -- 19^th Annual Show Me 200 National Dual Sport

June 21-22 -- VTRA Ride Weekend

July 19-20 -- VTRA Ride Weekend

August 16-17 -- VTRA Ride Weekend

September 20-21 -- VTRA Ride Weekend

October 5 -- Old Miners Day Woods Poker Run

October 18-19 -- VTRA Ride Weekend

November 1-2 -- Halloween Trail Ride at VTRA

VTRA Improvements for 2008! We are hoping to get a grant approved for a bathroom and shower facility at VTRA. We think our chances are good for this grant and if approved, we should have the bathrooms and shower (with a well and septic tank system) complete by May of 2008. If you would like to help with this project, please send an email to ridemtra@hotmail.com or go to our message board at www.ridemtra.com and leave your name and number. We also will need some help/advice from a plumber. Do we have any plumbers out there?

Welcome New Members! Thanks to all our new members that have joined the MTRA over the past couple of years. We hope that you have the opportunity to enjoy our events and get involved! Note: The MTRA does not issue membership cards; they are just too much work and really aren’t good for anything. We will have a current membership list at all the events if you need to check your membership status or address.
